Founded in 1919, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra (VSO) is the third-largest orchestra in Canada and one of the
largest performing arts organizations in Western Canada. The orchestra has received both Grammy Awards and Juno
Awards, earning an outstanding reputation on the international music scene.

The VSO is currently led by Dutch Music Director Otto Tausk and presents more than 150 concerts annually,
reaching live audiences of over 270,000 people each year. The orchestra regularly collaborates with world-renowned
artists including Yo-Yo Ma, Lang Lang, Itzhak Perlman, James Ehnes, Tan Dun, and Hilary Hahn.

The VSO's programming is diverse and wide-ranging, encompassing classical repertoire, film music, crossover
performances, and contemporary works. The orchestra also presents large-scale free outdoor concerts and
community programs, bringing music to wider audiences and making live orchestral experiences accessible to all.
