  • Federation Square

    This 3.6-square-kilometer public space is home to major cultural attractions, world-class events, tourism experiences and an exceptional array of restaurants, bars and specialty stores.

  • St. Paul's Cathedral

    The 96-meter-high cathedral built of rocks was put into service in 1891. Three steeples were added in 1926, making it look more imposing. Its interior textured walls and bulky rock pillars also impress.

  • Melbourne Town Hall

    Many of the decisions that have helped shape Melbourne were made in this 19th-century building. It contains over a dozen multifunctional halls and a large auditorium which can be rented for events like weddings, conferences and shows.



  • Royal Botanical Gardens

    Over 10,000 varieties of exotic plants are brought together in these gardens on the southern bank of the Yarra River.
