Cargo Service Representative – Miami (MIA)

- Salary: $23.00–$28.00/hour
- Job Schedule: 09:00–17:30 (rotating shifts, including weekends and evenings based on flight schedule)

Job Summary:
As a Cargo Service Representative, you are the critical link between our customers and flight operations at Miami International Airport. In this fast-paced, customer-facing role, you will monitor real-time cargo shipments, resolve issues under tight deadlines, and maintain accurate documentation.
Expected pay rate: $23.00–$28.00/hour (depending on experience and qualifications)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Shipment Tracking & Communication
- Monitor real-time cargo status in tracking systems
- Proactively notify customers of status updates via phone, email, or SMS
- Respond to customer inquiries daily, often with urgency
2. Issue Resolution & Problem Solving
- Handle and resolve cargo-related issues (delays, damages, customs hold-ups) quickly
- Investigate discrepancies between manifest and actual cargo
- Escalate complex issues to management when needed
3. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of all inbound and outbound shipments
- Ensure all cargo documentation meets airline and customs compliance
- Prepare daily reports and participate in audits (100% accuracy expected)
- Input data into multiple systems with attention to detail
4. Customer Service Excellence
- Respond to customer complaints with solutions, not just acknowledgments
- Handle billing inquiries and payment issues
- Provide updates on damaged or delayed shipments with empathy and professionalism
- Represent Air China positively to customers and external partners
5. Flight Operations Support
- Coordinate with ground operations to ensure timely cargo loading/unloading
- Monitor flight schedules and adjust priorities based on departures

Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent professional experience
Alternative: 2+ years in airline/cargo operations, customer service in transportation, or logistics coordination
- FLUENT English (verbal and written):Must be comfortable speaking with customers and vendors daily
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel especially important for data entry)
- Valid U.S. work authorization without future sponsorship requirements
- Ability to work rotating shifts including late-night or overnight shifts
- Must be on-site: No remote work; daily presence at MIA required
- Strong attention to detail: Cargo operation errors can lead to serious safety issues
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations
- Bilingual preferred: English + Mandarin Chinese OR English + Spanish
- 1+ years of experience in:
Air cargo operations / cargo handling
Customs clearance / international logistics
Airline ground operations
- Customer service experience in high-volume, time-sensitive environments
- Basic knowledge of import/export regulations

A. Position: Station Service Representative

- Job Type: Full-Time
B. Job Description/Responsibilities:
Your expected pay rate is $22.00/hour. Actual pay rate will be determined based on individual’s skills, experience and other relevant qualifications. Employee working night shifts will receive a higher hourly rate (additional $3.00/hour) plus overtime at an enhanced rate.
- Provide passenger service support, including assisting with booking changes and updates, and guiding passengers on required travel documents while ensuring compliance with travel regulations;
- Handle passenger inquiries and complaints in a professional manner, offering effective and timely resolutions to enhance customer experience;
- Oversee and support the daily operations of airport ground handling agents, ensuring procedures are properly followed and services are delivered efficiently;
- Monitor on-site operations to ensure compliance with safety standards, service quality requirements, and smooth overall performance;
- Respond promptly to on-site issues and coordinate solutions to maintain operational stability;
