  • Palgongsan

    Sweet-scented spring flowers, verdant summer forests, crimson autumn maple leaves and silvery winter landscapes– the mountainous region is great for the outdoorsy in all seasons.

  • Keimyung University

    With its architecture patterned on Harvard University, this private university has gained its reputation as “Harvard in the East”. South Korean TV drama and movie lovers may want to wander around here, as Keimyung has been widely recognized as one of the 10 most beautiful campuses of the country.

  • Daegu National Museum

    A huge collection of over 30,000 cultural artifacts from Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do is housed in this architecturally eye-pleasing facility. Different functional halls and rooms are spread out on one underground floor and two above-the-ground floors.

  • Daegu Duryu Park

    A whole range of leisure facilities like swimming pool, tennis court, roller skating rink, football field and a baseball field makes the 1.6-milion-square-meter park a stomping ground of the locals. Flowers bloom feverishly in all seasons. It offers a respite from the summer heat.

  • Nokdongseowon

    This ancient Confucius academy is an oasis of calm away from the urban hustle and bustle. Ancient buildings and sites are dotted around amidst lush vegetation.



  • Daegu Wholesale Herbs Market

    South Korea's ancient medicinal herb market dates back to the 14th century. Today it still buzzes with herb farmers, collectors, sellers and buyers and is home to myriad herbal clinics and stores. Admission to its exhibition hall is free.
