Sanya, China

As north China is numbed by the biting cold in the winter months, the tropical playground is exactly where Chinese sun-worshippers from the north opt to go.

Palms rustle in gentle breezes. Pearl white sandy beaches glisten in the sunlight which favors the place all year round. Small waves lap at your feet. Sanya, a city on the southern tip of China's southernmost province of Hainan, which is also a standalone offshore island, surely ranks among the country's most appealing tourist destinations and will never let you down.
