Regulations on Import and Export of Goods upon Entry and Exit Visas Useful tips on local customs Voltage and Plugs

According to the customs regulations, passengers arriving in China can each import 400 ordinary cigarettes or 100 cigars or 500 grams of tobacco, and 2 bottles of alcoholic beverages with each of up to 0.75 liters.

Ⅰ.Goods not permitted to be imported :

  • 1.Weapons, simulation weapons, ammunitions and explosives.
  • 2.Counterfeit currency and forged securities.
  • 3.Printed materials, films, photographs, music records, movies, audio tapes, video tapes, laser discs, computer storage media and other articles detrimental to China's politics, economy, culture and morals.
  • 4.Deadly poisons.
  • 5.Opium, morphine, heroin, marijuana and other addictive drugs and psychotropic drugs.
  • 6.Animals, plants and products of animal or plant origins with dangerous pathogens, pests and other harmful organisms.
  • 7.Foods, medicines or other items that are harmful to the health of humans and animals, are from infected areas and could spread diseases.

Ⅱ.Goods restricted for export :

  • 1、Precious metals like gold and silver and products made from precious metals.
  • 2、Foreign currencies and other securities
  • 3、Radio transceiver and communication security devices
  • 4、Valuable Chinese medicinal herbs and medicines made from Chinese medicinal herbs
  • 5、Generic cultural relics
  • 6、Other goods whose export of limited amounts is permitted
