This restriction applies to all affected individuals, including holders of valid permanent resident documents, temporary resident visas and Electronic Travel Authorizations (eTA). For your safety, please note the transportation standards for rechargeable wireless high-heat generating devices with built-in lithium batteries.
Wireless high-heat generating devices with non-removable lithium batteries are prohibited in both carry-on and checked baggage. Related Products: Cordless hair styling tools (including brush types), cordless irons, etc. However, products equipped with 'airplane mode' may be carried on into the cabin if the battery connection is disabled after switching to airplane mode and airline approval is received.
For devices with detachable batteries, the battery must be removed from the main body, short-circuit prevention measures taken, and airline approval is received before being carried on into the cabin.
